Your privacy, simply put: listen free, share nothing you don't want to, and know that every song keeps its copyright with its creator. Here is exactly how the pandal radio handles your data — no fine print tricks.
1. Introductionভূমিকা
Durga Puja Pandal Songs (দুর্গাপূজার গান) is a free online Bengali radio that streams Durga Puja songs, Mahalaya and classic Bangla music live from a public YouTube playlist. It is run by Rittik Bhowmik & Aparna Das Bhowmik.
Listening requires no account, no sign-up and no personal information. You can simply press play and enjoy Bengali festival music from any pandal, phone or laptop. This policy explains the small amount of information the site handles, why it handles it, and your rights over it.

We deliberately collect as little as possible. Here is the full picture — nothing is hidden:
- Stored only in your browser (localStorage, never sent to us): your volume, mute, shuffle and repeat preferences, the last song you played, the position of the floating buttons, and a reminder of a location you chose to share. This is just so your settings survive a page refresh.
- Optional location detection: if you tap “detect my location”, your browser asks your permission and reads a coarse position to fill in the location field for you. It is used only to autofill that box and nothing else.
- What you voluntarily share: when you share your pandal location or submit a song request, we receive the location name (and, for requests, the YouTube link, title, artist and location). These are stored to power the live “Now playing at…” feature and to review requests.
- Technical details: your IP address is read by the server only to slow down spam and abuse (rate limiting). It is never stored.
3. YouTube & copyrightইউটিউব ও কপিরাইট
This site does not host or download any songs. When you press play, the audio streams directly from YouTube's embedded player (using the privacy-friendly youtube-nocookie domain).
Every song remains the property of its original artist, label and copyright owner. Durga Puja Pandal Songs is a non-commercial fan radio that simply links to and plays official YouTube uploads — it claims no ownership of any music, artwork or recording.
Because playback happens on YouTube, every time you play a song it counts as a view on the original upload. That view supports the artist, the official channel and the people who made the music — which is exactly how a pandal radio should behave.
4. Removal requests (DMCA)গান সরানোর অনুরোধ
If you are a rights holder and would like a song removed, we will take it down promptly. Email [email protected] with the video link and we'll handle it — no bureaucracy.

5. Location dataঅবস্থান সংক্রান্ত তথ্য
Sharing your pandal location is entirely voluntary. When you do, the location name is shown publicly in the “Now playing at…” banner across the site — that is the point of the feature, so other listeners know where the dhaak is live.
We never track where you are automatically. Only the location you type or confirm yourself appears, and nothing is gathered in the background.

We rely on a small number of trusted services to keep the radio free and fast:
- YouTube / Google — streams the audio through its embedded IFrame API when you play a song.
- Cloudflare — serves the website and handles the small backend (song requests, shared locations) on its edge network and D1 database.
Each service may process data according to its own privacy policy; we do not share your information with anyone else.

Shared locations stay visible for a short “live” window (about 15 minutes) and stop appearing shortly after you stop listening. Song requests are reviewed and kept only as long as needed to update the playlist.
